ANDREW KAUFMAN’s most recent book of poems, Earth’s Ends, appeared in 2005 after winning the Pearl Poetry Award. His poems have appeared in numerous journals, such as The Atlanta Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Massachusetts Review, Rattapallax, and Skidrow Penthouse. He was recently nominated for a Pushcart Poetry Prize and is the recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. His Cinnamon Bay Sonnets won the Center for Book Arts chapbook competition. Solo world traveler and poet KAREN SWENSON is the author of several books, including An Attic of Ideals; East-West; A Sense of Direction; The Landlady in Bangkok, which won the National Poetry Series; and A Daughter’s Latitude: New and Selected Poems. She is a three-time nominee for the Pushcart Prize, and her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Paris Review, American Poetry Review, and numerous other periodicals. Her frequent travels in Southeast Asia have been the subject of articles for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Leader.
