July 28 – Ani Gjika has taught writing and literature at diverse venues, from Thailand to Rutgers University. Her work has appeared in Stirring, Verse Libre, Pelegrin, and Sotto Voce Magazine, among others. She currently lives in NJ with her husband and their adopted American Bulldog Petey, but they will soon be relocating to Boston in August so Ani can pursue an MFA in poetry at Boston University. Joining Ani will be Asya Graf. Asya received her PhD in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, and will also be relocating to Boston to pursue an MFA in poetry at Boston University. Her works have been recently published in decomP, Folly, DMQ, Boxcar, and Anderbo. She has just survived her first (and possibly last) year of teaching in the NYC public school system.
