Pamela L. Laskin is a lecturer in the English Department at The City College, where she directs The Poetry Outreach Center. Many of her poems, short stories and children's stories have been published in journals and magazines. World Audience Publishers recently published GHOSTS, GOBLINS, GODS AND GEODES. SECRETS OF SHEETS is Ms. Laskin's second book of poetry published by Plain View Press. Her first, REMEMBERING FIREFLIES, came out in 2007. CENTRAL STATION, her first collection, was winner of the Millennium Poetry Prize, and three poetry chapbooks, two young adult novels and several picture books have been published as well. She edited THE HEROIC YOUNG WOMAN (Clique Calm Books) and LIFE ON THE MOON: MY BEST FRIEND'S SECRETS (Linus Publications). She lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, Ira. Her children, Craig and Samantha, are away at school completing their degrees.
